EMIT in Testing

Engineers at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in southern California prepare NASA’s Earth Surface Mineral Dust Source Investigation (EMIT) instrument for thermal vacuum environmental testing, which exposes the instruments avionics to the full range of temperatures it will encounter in orbit – from about 121 degrees Celsius to -157 degrees Celsius.
