The Airborne Multiangle SpectroPolarimetric Imager 2nd Generation insturment provides multiangle radiance and linear polarization imagery to be used in retrievals of aerosol properties, cloud-top droplet sizes, cloud and surface bidirectional reflectance factors. This second generation instrument has increased sensitivity to aerosol coarse mode and vertical distribution compared to the original AirMSPI.

Twelve-band (367, 386, 445, 543, 645, 751, 763, 862, 945, 1620, 1888, 2185 nm) pushbroom camera, measuring polarization in the 445, 645, 862, 1620 and 2185 nm bands. DOLP uncertainty of +/- 0.005.
